Sausages (the four-legged kind) and Steak!
When we have a craving for beef that’s done how we like it, we always head to the Two Bulls Steakhouse in Hastings Old Town. Their lunch specials which also run on weekends are such good value. There is another branch in Eastbourne but we have never been to that one as Hastings is much closer to where we live.
Two Bulls Steakhouse ~ A Real Charcoal Grill
They also have lots of other à la carte and evening options but we always stick to what we know. Our usual order is the six-ounce sirloin and the nine-ounce rib eye with extra grilled prawns, coleslaw and mushroom sauce. What can I say but that we are creatures of habit!
Here is my rib eye with a couple of sides.
The steak is deliciously chargrilled on the outside and lovely and rare on the inside. There have been one or two occasions in the past where it has been cooked a bit more than I would have liked, but the taste was still so amazing that I ate it all! The chunky chips are all hand cut with the skin still on and the salad is always dressed to perfection. The coleslaw is creamy, crisp and fresh and the mushroom sauce is hearty and full of flavour.
A Dog-Friendly Steakhouse
The service is fast and friendly at the Two Bulls and best of all? Well behaved dogs are welcomed! We always pre-book to let the restaurant know that we are bringing our girls and they have always been so accommodating. On the odd occasion where I have gone without the dogs, the staff have always asked after them.
It is a bustling little place and we come here at least once a month. I hope you’ll enjoy the food as much as we do if you ever get a chance to try it!
